Singapore Puxian (Hinghwa) Network at the World Xinghua Reunion Conference
From October 29 to November 1, 2024, the 7th World Xinghua Reunion Conference, alongside the 8th World Puxian Business Conference, the 5th Putian Overseas Association Council Meeting, and the inaugural World Puxian Youth Association Conference, was held with grand ceremonies in Putian, China.
Led by President Fang Zhizhong, the Singapore Puxian (Hinghwa) Network team attended, embodying the deep connection and pride the global Xinghua community holds for their hometown.
“Welcome Back to Your Homeland”
Themed “A Global Gathering to Share Our Heritage and Realize Our Dreams,” the conference welcomed over 800 Xinghua natives and business representatives from around the world. During the opening ceremony, leaders such as Lin Wenbin, Member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Province and Head of the United Front Work Department, and Putian Party Secretary Fu Chaoyang, extended heartfelt welcomes. They highlighted Putian’s cultural richness and the contributions of Xinghua natives to both the development of their homeland and the broader Fujian province. Secretary Lin commended the commitment of Xinghua expatriates in building the “New Fujian” and expressed the sincere appreciation of the provincial government. Secretary Fu echoed these sentiments, welcoming the returning participants to reconnect and work together for Putian’s future.
About the World Xinghua Reunion Conference and Puxian Business Conference
Since their inceptions in 1998 and 2004, the World Xinghua Reunion Conference and the World Puxian Business Conference have expanded in influence and cohesion, bringing together Xinghua natives and entrepreneurs from across the globe. This year, the conferences coincided with the Putian Overseas Association Council Meeting and the World Youth Association’s formation, creating a vibrant platform for exchange and cooperation. Highlights included the Putian Overseas Intelligence Development Forum and the “Puxian Business and Puxian Expatriates Tour.” Through these events, attendees experienced the cultural and natural beauty of Putian while gaining insights into the city’s technological and industrial advancements.

One of the conference's most exciting moments was the announcement that the 8th World Xinghua Reunion Conference and the 9th World Puxian Business Conference will take place in Singapore in 2028. Attendees celebrated the news with enthusiastic applause, expressing their eagerness for the upcoming event.
